5heavy duty
By BigBonelessJerk
heavy duty electricians scissors, what more do you need to know? i use these to cut cable (cat5, cat6, 25 pair, etc) and they are working great. still as sharp as they were on day 1.

*edit - 4/12/2011
they are still going strong nearly a year and a half later. still very sharp, pretty much like they were on day 1. i would give a couple more stars but theyre already maxed out!
i made the mistake of cutting some stuff that was wrapped in tape and now they are sticky and hard to open every once in a while but i think a little rubbing alcohol or WD40 should take care of that problem.

5Snips Anything
By Camper, Hiker, fisherman.
I'm not an electrician or telephone repair guy, but my friend, who introduced me to these, is. He gave me a pair of his that was beginning to dull, so he could order a new one. That old pair of snips will still cut a penny in half. If you order a brand new pair, they are razor sharp, and will cut ANYthing. I've been using them as scissors, and so far, having not cut wire with them, the seem as though they will hold up indefinitely. The are small enough to fit in little pockets in my backpack or glove box, my tackle box, etc. I love them. There's really nothing like them. I use them all the time, and I'm not even using them for their intended purpose.

Of all the dumb things you can do with them, we were testing the old pair out and pruning a bush outside my front door with them, and the moisture did cause discoloration on the backs of the scissor blades (obviously, they weren't made for this), but hasn't affected the cutting power of that pair at all. They will still cut paper perfectly without tearing, even newspaper or paper towels, probably because they are screwed together so tightly that the cutting edges stay in perfect contact.

Anyway. They'll cut anything, and last forever. I'm sure they're amazing for their intended purpose too.

5An Excellent Professional Tool
By Jack R. Isbell
I started out as lineman back in the 60s and then worked as a telephone installer/repairman for nine years after that. During those nine years, I carried the same pair of Klein "snips" and used them on a daily basis cutting and stripping telephone wires during installs and repairs. That pair never dulled, was dropped many times, and used in all kinds of weather. From looking at the new pair and using them for a while, I can honestly say the quality of Klein tools has not diminished in the least and I expect they will, unless I lose them, last me a lifetime.
