Excellent!

I've had my Alvin cutting mat for years and it really does what it says. Don't be fooled by cheap imitations. Just because another brand is green doesn't mean it's self healing. Alvin mats really do heal when you cut them. They remain smooth afterwards. I have 3 mats from 3 different companies, and only 2 of them self heal. Alvin is one of them. After all these years, my Alvin is stained but still smooth and not warped in any way. The price shown here is excellent. Alvin is the way to go!

Great mat

This is a good size for me right now, it fits on the table just so. I just started using it and I'm not pressing very hard, but I know I'm cutting through the fabric and I can't even see the mark on the mat. I really like the rotary cutter/mat combination. Much easier than scissors for most pattern cutting. I think this mat seems sturdy enough. You do want a firm surface underneath it because the mat is a little bendy, so you need a table or a board - not carpet.

Cuttin Mat

I wanted a good quality cutting mat to extend my cutting surface for my quilting projects. My older mats were nice and thick and have held up great. The new mat is just as thick and seems to be of the same quality. I liked it so much, I purchased a second one. I recommend this mat.
